34 HOUSING UNITS, LE RHEU

Due to its strong relationship with the surrounding landscape, the future layout of the Trémelière ZAC (mixed development zone) is a tribute to the history of French garden-cities, that started in Le Rheu during the 1960s with architect Gaston Bardet. Located near the town centre, macro lot no. 1 offers rent-controlled units on the street side and shared areas overlooking the park. The whole project extends on both sides of a shared car park that creates an elevated promenade. The project was managed in a collaborative dynamic, as the four architectural agencies and the three clients involved in the construction regularly held meetings to consult each other.
