82 SOCIAL HOUSING, SEVRAN

This development is located within a national urban renewal zone (ANRU) and was intended to replace the tower blocks that stood on the Montceleux plain. The aim is to modify the landscape so as to reproduce a “slice of countryside” in an urban environment. The concept of garden-city shaped the project and contributed to a unique urban form based on a number of organisational principles: nothing taller than four floors, no basements, units with multiple aspects and outdoor spaces directly connected to shared gardens. The six blocks use the same architectural language, with various expressions depending on material implementation methods (concrete, wood and metal).
