CENTRAL SQUARE IN PLOVDIV, BULGARIE

For the reconfiguration of the central square in Plovdiv, we proposed a “living plane”, which would bring life to the heart of the town and make it a strong hub serving the various neighbouring areas of interest (park, central post office, hotels). Like a drape spreading over the town centre, this plane serves both as an environment for shared urban activities (cafés, exhibition venues, water features, and tourist attractions) and a shelter spanning over Roman archaeological remains. On a much larger scale, its wave-like silhouette echoes with the three hills that surround the city.
