150 HOUSING UNITS AND NURSERY, ZAC DES FABRIQUES, MARSEILLE

In the heart of the Les Fabriques eco-district in Marseille, this project comprises 106 social housing units, 44 intermediate housing units, a nursery, a ground-floor retail space, and a community project hub. Our approach prioritizes comfortable urban density and high-quality housing, offering views of the Mediterranean Sea. Each built structure is fragmented, alternating between projecting and recessed volumes, with subtly differentiated architectural treatments. The loggias, as natural extensions of the interior spaces, create an inhabited outdoor area typical of Mediterranean housing. Two street-facing porches, clad in terracotta, enhance transparency toward a landscaped inner courtyard.
