SOCIAL HOUSING PROGRAMME, VERSAILLES

The project occupies a clearing in the Satory woods, on the edge of Saint-Cyr. This unique setting has given rise to a site plan inspired by a traditional farmstead organised around a vast planted courtyard. This is the heart of the project, where residents can enjoy the peaceful natural setting of the forest that extends right up to edge of the building. The volumes are seamlessly interconnected, forming a compact and homogeneous composition, to provide a human-scale built environment. The mixed-material structure combines a mineral base with a timber-frame curtain wall.
