Macro-lots B1 and C1 of the la Confluence district are the last parts left to develop. They are going to offer a new frontage open to the riverfront. This urban unit establishes obvious links with the constructed environment in order to continue the environmental connectivity. The heart of the island is the luxuriant garden – a vast meeting area and a visual link between different buildings.
Four buildings designed by our agency are placed in this ensemble, they create a subtle dialogue between the skeleton frame and the massiveness. Two higher educational buildings are designed to allow reversibilty and a variety of functions. A high-rise concrete/wood structured building offers mainly double-oriented duplex accommodation with generous double-height loggias. 100% Built-in-wood, a small building of eight apartments offers crossing duplexes with south-facing loggias. The goal to achieve here is to give a collective housing the qualities of an individual one, and vice versa.
