Within the eco-district, Macro Lot PB features the greatest diversity of housing typologies, from collective housing to rent-controlled units, with a minimal footprint to maximise the impact of the landscape. The project links the smaller arm of the Seine river to the North and Lot PA to the South. It ties up and brings together the entire landscape composition within the eco-district.
A set of common rules apply throughout the whole area. The dominant mineral quality of façades on the water front is complemented by the use of stilts offering transparency and beautiful views of the hills. Colours and materials combine to echo the pre-existing surroundings. Wood, terracotta, steel, whitewash… All of these materials lend their natural shades to the various developments.
The buildings we designed will use bio-based materials and will rest on a structure made primarily of wood. They will also integrate a regular structural framework giving the buildings adaptability and reliability, especially for the “Legacy Stage” following the Paris Olympics.
