ATHLETES’ VILLAGE OF THE PARIS 2024 GAMES, L’ÎLE-SAINT-DENIS

Within the eco-district, the PB macro-lot boasts the greatest diversity of typologies. From collective housing to intermediate housing, its footprint prioritizes the landscape. It connects the Petit Bras de Seine to the north and the PA lot to the south. It articulates and unifies the entire landscape composition within the eco-district. Common rules apply to the entire sector. Colors and materials are chosen to echo the existing surroundings. Wood, terracotta, steel, and sandblasted concrete as the base… These materials bring their natural hues to the projects. The buildings we design are constructed using bio-sourced materials and a structure primarily made of wood. They also benefit from a regular structural framework enabling their adaptability and reversibility, especially during the “Legacy” phase following the 2024 games.
