Located on a brownfield south-west of Villeurbanne, the redevelopment project spans a small chunk of the district. The reconversion of the city block, a legacy of an industrial past, harmonises with its diverse, eclectic urban context. Following the principle of vertical mixed-use development, six residential blocks, four to nine storeys high, are set in pairs over a shared ground-floor base housing retail premises and offices. The core of the plot is left largely open to accommodate a sprawling central garden and a pedestrian footpath crossing the full length of the programme on a north-south axis
